On Your Own, An Invasive Species Research Project
Here students are guided through a library research project that culminates in a 2-3 page report on an important invasive species in the Hudson River ecosystem. Students will learn to use library resources, scientific journals and the internet to do a literature search on a scientific topic. They will learn to evaluate the content of websites and internet sources for accuracy, objectivity, and timeliness and learn how to document sources using both in text citations and references using APA format.
