TITLE: On-Call Part-Time Security Guard

POSTING DATE: March 2, 2010

LOCATION: Millbrook, NY

DURATION: Ongoing

DUTIES: This position will be on-call, as needed, to fill-in for current Security staff.  Perform periodic checks of all buildings to make sure property and buildings are secure. Confirm that heat and other mechanical systems are operating.  Patrol Cary Institute roadways during assigned hours; approach visitors as necessary to assure compliance with access policy.  Complete written security report for each shift worked.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.  Valid New York State Security Guard license, plus one year experience.  Must possess good communication skills and the ability to deal with the public effectively.
