The mission of the Library at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies is to support scientific research done at the Institute.

The 10,000-strong book collection, 175 current periodical subscriptions and state-of-the-art electronic resources deal primarily with ecology and the environmental sciences.

The Library is open to the public on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., by prior arrangement with the librarian. Library materials are for reference use only, but may be borrowed through interlibrary loan.
