Our Favorite Roses

Over the years the Institute has evaluated over 150 rose species and varieties. We offer the following roses as some of the very best for our area (USDA hardiness zone 5). Remember, site selection, buying healthy and robust roses, proper soil management, and culture, including disease and pest control, will all affect rose performance. Take note that some roses require 2-3 growing seasons to establish themselves in your garden.
