Donor Privacy Policy

The Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies values and respects its donors’ right to privacy. Cary does not collect any personal information from you without your knowledge and permission. We do not sell or rent any information you provide us through our website.

We use partners to provide online donation processing services. The privacy policies of these organizations will be presented to you on their respective websites and typically also as part of your donation process. If you donate online by credit card, we do not store your credit card information, bank account numbers, or other financial account data sent directly to those processing services.

Other than memorial and tribute gifts, we acknowledge all other donations to the Cary Institute in our annual report by donor name within ranges of giving unless a gift is specified as anonymous. Donors who make financial contributions to Cary via our website will have their name and mailing address put on our donor mailing list and receive Cary e-alerts, unless they choose to opt out

Cary does not share the personal information of our donors with any other organization, company, individuals or entity. (This includes names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and payment information.)

The Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies is registered as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization with the State of New York. Your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
