The Institute's mission— of innovating, sharing and applying ecological knowledge— is made possible by the combined efforts of our staff. While their individual expertise varies, from scientists and educators to administrators and operations crew, Institute staff is united by the common goal of advancing ecological knowledge.

Thursday scientific seminars, "lunch bunch" lectures, topical discussion groups, and workshops are open to the entire staff. More than the sum of its parts, by working collaboratively, everyone working at the Institute plays a role in advancing the creation and dissemination of scientific understanding.
